Delta Kitchen Remodeling: The Sacramento Owner’s Guide
If you own a Delta kitchen faucet, soap dispenser, or pot filler that’s dripping, corroded, or just not holding up after years of Sacramento’s hard water, we stock and install Delta-compatible replacement parts across the metro area. A full Delta kitchen fixture replacement with installation typically runs $300 to $1,200 depending on the model and whether we’re pulling the old valve cartridge or replacing the entire assembly. Most homeowners discover the problem the same way: a slow drip that won’t quit, a spray head that sputters, or a finish that’s pitted and flaking around the base.
We’re Bradford Remodeling Co Sacramento, and we’re an independent contractor, not a Delta factory service center. What that means for you: we work on Delta products every week, but we’ll also tell you honestly when a part isn’t worth saving. Curtis Lane, our owner, has spent nearly two decades running kitchens across Sacramento, including a stretch of remodels in Pocket-Greenhaven where Delta fixtures were in half the homes we touched. Straight scope, firm price, no surprises after the drywall goes up.
Which Delta Models This Applies To

Most of what we see in Sacramento kitchens falls into three Delta lines: Leland, Trinsic, and Cassidy, with an occasional Pivotal or Addison thrown in. Leland and Cassidy use the same RP50587 valve cartridge, which is good news if you have one and need a quick swap. Trinsic models vary more by finish year: some take a diamond-embedded ceramic cartridge (Delta’s Diamond Seal technology), and some older Trinsics run on a standard rubber-seat cartridge. The gotcha nobody tells you: two Trinsics from the same family can have different cartridge specs if one was manufactured before 2019.
How to identify yours: check the base of the spout or the handle body for a small stamped part number. If it’s rubbed off, measure the cartridge stem height with a caliper after shutting off the supply lines. OEM Delta parts cost 20 to 40 percent more than quality aftermarket equivalents (Danco and BrassCraft both make solid replacements), but OEM is the right call if your Delta is still under warranty or if you have a finish-matched handle that’s hard to match exactly. We stock OEM Delta cartridges and O-rings on our trucks for Leland and Cassidy models, and we carry the two most common Trinsic cartridges.

Signs Your Delta Kitchen Faucet Is Failing
- A persistent drip from the spout after you shut the water off. This almost always means a worn cartridge seal or a scored ceramic disc. Hard water accelerates it. The fix is a cartridge swap, not a new faucet, unless the cartridge bore inside the body is scored.
- The handle gets stiff or won’t return to center. Mineral buildup inside the cartridge is binding the stem. In Sacramento, where water hardness runs 8 to 12 grains per gallon in most neighborhoods, this happens faster than Delta’s national average.
- Spray head dribbles or sprays unevenly. The diverter inside the spray head is clogged or the rubber nozzle tips are mineralized. Soaking can temporarily clear it. It usually returns.
- Finish pitting or green corrosion at the base. This is the early warning for a leak that hasn’t shown itself yet. The O-rings under the escutcheon are failing, and water is seeping under the deck plate onto your counter.
- Low flow that isn’t fixed by cleaning the aerator. If you’ve pulled the aerator and flow is still weak, the supply lines or the internal check valve are restricted. This is the most misdiagnosed Delta issue we see.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

For a full Delta kitchen remodeling in Sacramento, meaning we pull the old faucet, inspect the supply lines and shutoff valves, install the new fixture, and test for leaks, you’re looking at $300 to $1,200 installed. The spread comes down to three things: the Delta model you’re installing (a Trinsic with touch activation runs more than a standard Leland), whether the shutoff valves under the sink need replacing (common in Sacramento homes built before 1990), and if the counter needs a new escutcheon or a third hole capped.
What’s included in our price: the written quote before work starts, the part, the labor, the disposal of the old fixture, and a test run that includes cycling the handle through every position. What’s not included: any change order we didn’t discuss. If the supply lines are corroded and need replacing, we’ll tell you the number before we touch them. Every job we complete carries the 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing. If the work fails inside a year, we come back and correct it at no charge.
DIY or Call Us?
Replacing a Delta kitchen faucet is not a gas or electrical job, and a careful homeowner with a basin wrench can do it in an afternoon. You can check a few things first: confirm your shutoff valves actually close all the way, check the supply line fittings for corrosion, and look at whether your sink has one, two, or three holes in the deck. If the valves are seized or the old faucet is rusted to the sink, stop there. A seized valve that breaks off at the wall turns a $400 faucet swap into a plumbing repair. The same goes for replacing cartridges on Trinsic models with the older-style cartridge: forcing the cartridge out of a mineralized body scores the bore and ruins the faucet. We’d rather talk you through what you’re seeing on the phone than charge you to undo a bad DIY attempt. If it’s beyond what you want to touch, call (279) 226-1509 and we’ll schedule the estimate.
FAQs

With Sacramento’s hard water, plan on 8 to 12 years before the finish or cartridge starts showing real wear, assuming you run a water softener. Without one, the clock moves faster; we’ve replaced Delta cartridges on units that were only 5 years old.
If the body isn’t scored and the finish is intact, yes. Cartridge replacements run $120 to $250 installed for most Delta models we service. If the finish is peeling or the body is corroded, replacement is the better money. Call us and we’ll quote both options.
Most single-hole or three-hole Delta kitchen faucets come out and go back in inside two hours, assuming the shutoff valves are working. Add an hour if we’re also replacing seized valves or capping an extra hole.
We stock OEM Delta cartridges, O-rings, and spray heads for Leland, Cassidy, and the two most common Trinsic configurations on our trucks. Specialty finishes or touchless control modules are typically a two-day order in Sacramento.
